Looking for fun events/activities the whole family can enjoy? Consider joining 4-H.
4-H is one of the largest youth serving organization in the Nation, (Oneida County boasts 300 members.) Boys and girls ages 5-19, have the option of joining local clubs or enrolling as independent members. Enrollees are then able to participate in age appropriate activities in the following areas:
Family & Consumer Science Animal Science Environmental
Arts & Crafts Beef Conservation & Natural Resources
Clothing & Textiles Dairy Entomology
Consumer Education Goat Gardening & Horticulture
Electric Energy Dog
Food & Nutrition Horse Personal Development
Home Environment Poultry Citizenship/ Community Service
Photography Rabbit Leadership
Wood Science Sheep Public Speaking
Safety Swine
Veterinary Science
Select 4-H youth have the ability to showcase their projects/animals at the Boonville Fair and at the NY State Fair, attend special events at Cornell, as well as compete at National and State competitions.
