USC The Business College, with locations in Utica, Canastota and Oneonta, recently announced that several of its Canastota campus students are recipients of scholarships from The Gorman Foundation.
The Foundation, established in 2003 in the memory of Owen T. Gorman, Catherine (Kay) Gorman, and Alice M. Gorman, exists to help better society through support of educational, scientific, artistic, and religious causes, organizations, and programs.
The recipients of the scholarships include: Vanessa Scott of Vernon, NY; Michelle I. Holtz-Jarmacz of Chittenango, NY; Dorea Joy of Durhamville, NY; Christina Martin of Canastota, NY; Patricia Miller of Vernon, NY; and Julie Wright of Georgetown, NY.
“These students embody the vision of The Gorman Foundation,” said Jeff Owen, Director of Development at USC The Business College. “The Foundation seeks to ‘improve the quality of life for present and future generations,’ and through these fine women, they are truly fulfilling that vision.”
