Mohawk Valley Chamber and M & T Bank Present Regional Economic Briefing

(Utica, NY) The Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce and M & T Bank present Regional Economic Briefing Wednesday, March 17^th at Hotel Utica. Speakers at the briefing will be Senior Economist Dr. Richard Deitz of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Economist Gary Keith of M & T Bank. Registration begins at 11:30 am with the program and lunch to follow at 12:00 pm. Cost is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. The event is sponsored by M & T Bank.

Dr. Richard Deitz will present current data and speaking on the economic outlook for Upstate New York and the Utica area. He will show how the upstate economy has outperformed the nation during the recession, and how the region’s housing market has largely bypassed the boom-bust cycle troubling many parts of the country.

Gary Keith will discuss the outlook for the national economy. The Great Recession is over, but what comes now? How will the U.S. economy rebuild from the sharpest downturn in a generation and what factors should business be tracking for developing future operating plans.
