(Utica-Rome, NY) – The Utica-Rome region of the American Heart Association is proud to announce several new members have been joined the local board of directors.
Jameel H. Arastu, MD- Neurologist, Slocum-Dickson Medical Group PLLC
Mark E. Blaker, MD – Cardiologist, Slocum-Dickson Medical Group PLLC
Jennifer Carbone Zuccaro, MD – Pediatric Cardiologist
Robert Lancey, MD – Chief of Cardiac Surgery, Bassett Healthcare
Alan R. Leist III, CFA – Managing Director, Strategic Financial Services
Gregory O’Keefe, MD – Chief Health Officer of Herkimer, Herkimer County Public Health
Fred L. Talarico, MD – Cardiologist
James Willis – Superintendent of Schools, Utica City School District
Andrew Zygmunt, PhD - Research Scientist, Masonic Medical Research Laboratory
These ten dynamic community leaders officially joined the current board of thirty-three members in July of 2009 and since then have been working with the American Heart and American Stroke Association to raise awareness for cardiovascular diseases and stroke as well as the critical funds needed to support life saving research.
