Rome – Girl Scout Brownies and Cadettes will be exploring their newest Girl Scout Journeys, part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, during programs on December 5.
Girl Scout Brownies will be learning about the Wonders of Water from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Paul’s Church, 1807 Bedford Street in Rome. From 1-3 p.m. Girl Scout Cadettes will Breathe! with their latest Journey, also at St. Paul’s Church in Rome.
With Wonders of Water (WOW) girls will explore every aspect of water, learn to conserve water, and then share what they learned with others. Girls will learn about the rainbow, the water cycle, wetlands, coral reefs and more. During the December 5 program, girls will be participating in a number of activities with their friends as they explore water. As Girl Scout Cadettes Breathe! they will use all their senses to become aware of everything going on around them on Earth, alert others of what’s going on, and affirm what they’ve learned. Girls will learn about pollution, global warming, wind power, the ozone, and more when taking the Girl Scout Cadette Journey. During their program, girls will discover new ways to look at air and food through hands-on activities and discuss ways to take action in their own communities.
The newest Girl Scout Journey Series, It’s Your Planet-Love It, is part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
