(Rome – Nov. 20, 2009) The Rome Free Academy Science Club will host Dr. David G. Gallo, an oceanographer and explorer, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in the high school auditorium.
Gallo helped lead expeditions to explore the R.M.S. Titanic and the German battleship Bismarck. His talk Friday is titled “The Secrets of the Sea: Exploring Neptune’s Realm” and “Origins, Evolution, and Destiny: Clues from the Deepest Sea.”
The talk is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be available.
The event is supported by Rome’s G.E.A.R.U.P. Program, which stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, a federal college readiness program for middle and high school students.
