(Oneida Nation Homelands) Jeff Hull of Verona is the Turning Stone Resort Championship’s 2009 Volunteer of the Year.
Hull assisted the Player Relief Committee, which provided beverages and snacks for the PGA TOUR professionals at various stations throughout Atunyote Golf Club. Committee Chairman Lou Markowski nominated Hull, describing him as “a charismatic individual who continues to go above and beyond the high expectations that we have for the Player Relief Committee.”
“This was completely unexpected,” Hull said. “I volunteered for the Championship because I like to help out. This is truly an honor.”
Hull, a local business owner, has been a part of the Turning Stone Resort Championship since its inception three years ago. During that time, more than $1 million has been generated for charity.
As Volunteer of the Year, he was presented with a commemorative trophy, a Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Driver and a $200 Turning Stone Resort gift card.
