(Marcy, NY) The State Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery that occurred at approximately 8 AM Jan. 5 at 9522 State Route 20 in the Town of Bridgewater, Oneida County. Susan M. Dote, age 62, was entering her vehicle inside of the garage at her residence when she was assaulted by a masked intruder.
She was struck several times in the head with a blunt object during the assault. The perpetrator then took the victim’s purse and fled the residence. Mrs. Dote was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica where she is currently being treated for her injuries.
The perpetrator is described as a white male, 5′ 08″to 5’09″ tall with a medium build, wearing a black coat and black ski mask.
Anyone with information pertaining to this incident or who may have been in the area of the Dote residence on State Route 20 between 5 AM and 8 AM TUE JAN 5, 2009 is urged to contact the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in SP Marcy at 736-8802.
