Children’s Museum Schedule of Events

(Utica, NY) The Children’s Museum of Science & History is located at 311 Main St. in Utica.

Come explore 100’s of interactive exhibits on 4 floors.

The museum is open: – Monday, Thursday, Saturday 9:30am -2:00pm (and some other days during school breaks – check online calendar www.museum4kids.net ) Come early – doors open 9:30 am. To ensure enough time to enjoy your visit, no admissions allowed one hour before closing time. Admission: $7. children 2-17; $8. seniors; $9. adults; members & under 2 years of age free

Monday’s 12:00pm-12:30pm - LED Play Dance Floor Contest”. Kids participate in a variety of 16 games & 7 activities & win prizes! + explore our 4 floors of hands-on exhibits!

Thursday’s 12:00pm-12:30pm “Caring for our Critters”. Kids learn how we care for the critters & insects in our Living Science Center! + explore our 4 floors of hands-on exhibits!

Saturday’s 12:00pm-12:30pm – “Kids Komputers”(Kids take computers apart & learn how they run!) or “Be a DJ”.(in our live radio room!) + explore 4 floors of hands-on exhibits!

Saturday, March 27th, 2010 – The Children’s Museum 7th Annual Science & Technology Fair, 10:15am to 1:45pm – The only children’s museum in the country to be adopted by NASA & the Office of Science. In addition to the student entries, and our 100’s of interactive exhibits on our four floors, we will feature 2 special enjoyably interactive programs: 1.) Plasmas – the Fourth State of Matter by Princeton Plasma Physics Lab’s John DeLooper. 2.) Solar Systems Rocket Exploration by NASA Ambassador Mark Sparline.

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 – Children’s Museum Annual Easter Egg Hunt schedule: 9:55 -10:10am & 10:15-10:30am ages 1 to 3; 10:35 -10:50am ages 4 to 6; 10:55am -11:05am ages 7-9. Children keep their eggs with goodies, make bunny ears to take home, enjoy our life-size wooden train, our interactive Robot Room, our Dinosaur/Fossil area, our Radio & Weather Rooms, our interactive space scale, take an airplane ride, view our Guinness World Record holder Hot Wheels Hall, enjoy our Intl Sports Hall exhibits, take part in our LED Play Dance Floor contest, enjoy hearing ‘Railman Pete live’! Adults bring your cameras!
