(Cazenovia, NY – March 9, 2010) Cazenovia College senior Brandon Goodman of Clinton, NY has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sun., March 7.
Goodman was selected for his offense and play in the field in the Wildcats doubleheader split with St. Mary’s (Md.) last week to open the season. He led Cazenovia with a .571 batting average, going 4-for-7 from the plate, and recorded two RBIs and four runs. Goodman was also 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts and had a .667 on-base percentage. In the field, he had four put outs and five assists without recording an error.
It was the conference’s first weekly award of the season.
Weather permitting; Cazenovia’s home opener will be Wed., March 24 against Utica College.
